Check your Transportation

During our Great Britain trip in 2024, we needed to go from Bath to Cardiff. There is a train that runs between the two cities as expected, but the train did not run on Sunday! So, when I looked on Google Maps for the route on the Sunday that we were leaving Bath, it showed that we would have to get to Bristol for the train.

Since we are in Great Britain, the transportation system is wonderful. There was a local bus that went from Bath to Bristol, so we boarded that bus. A very nice ride, so not a real problem.

The moral of this story is to check for the actual day that you wish to travel to make sure that your pick of transportation is available. If you cannot pick the actual day since it is too far in the future, then at least pick the same day that you wish to travel, say a Sunday, to check if your transportation is available.
